The Hospices of Sonoma is modeled after the world-renowned Hospices de Beaune auction. Each November in Beaune, the Hospices de Beaune represents the new Burgundy vintage's first exposure to the public.

The fifth annual Hospices of Sonoma Celebration Weekend begins with Winemaker Dinners, hosted by a select group of participating producers. A limited number of seats are available for each dinner and the locations will vary. Winemaker Dinners allow guests access to winemakers and proprietors, their wonderful wines and some of the finest cuisine that Sonoma Wine Country has to offer.

Participating Wineries: DeLoach Vineyards, Dutton Estate, Failla, Freeman/Kosta Browne, Gary Farrell, Halleck, Hartford Family, Landmark, Paul Hobbs and Roessler Cellers.

The Saturday wine and food extravaganza features a barrel tasting and Big Board auction of specially crafted Pinot Noirs from the 2007 vintage, accompanied by exquisite food pairings. During the auction, guests bid on 35-40 half-barrel lots of Sonoma County's finest Pinot Noirs, Buyers receive their wines bottled to their specifications with the distinctive Hospices of Sonoma wine label. After the auction, enjoy sumptuous feasts of wine country cuisine at Fête du Vin gala dinners hosted by four wineries. Note: Reservations for the post-auction Gala Dinners are extremely limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.


Lynmar Winery, Sebastopol

One of Wine Country’s most exclusive and fun parties, La Paulée is a traditional French luncheon and social featuring all participating Pinot producers. This year’s La Paulée will be on the lovely grounds of Lynmar Winery in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Tickets to La Paulée must be purchased in combination with the Saturday Barrel Tasting, Auction & Gala. Only 150 guests can be accommodated.
