2008 Beneficiaries

Hospices of Sonoma and the WCC Charitable Foundation proudly support these outstanding community organizations as beneficiaries of our 2008 event (as of October, 2007). Each will receive 25% of the auction proceeds.

 
 


Camp Okizu

The mission of the Novato-based Okizu Foundation is to provide recreational, respite and peer support programs to meet the needs of all family members affected by childhood cancer. Over the past 26 years, more than 20,000 children with cancer have attended Camp Okizu.

The Children's Village

The mission of the Children’s Village of Sonoma County is to provide nurturing, stable family homes in a multi-generational, enriched environment for children and their siblings in foster care. Funds raised at this year’s Hospices of Sonoma Pinot Noir Barrel Auction will directly support the construction of additional housing on the Children’s Village campus in Santa Rosa.

WCC Charitable Foundation

For more than 20 years the WCC Charitable Foundation has helped children in life-threatening circumstances throughout the North Bay, and in times of war and national crisis, has also provided funding to injured American military personnel, police, firefighters and their families. The WCC Charitable Foundation administers the Hospices of Sonoma Pinot Noir Barrel Auction as its major fundraiser. Auction proceeds will support the WCCCF’s direct donation program for children at risk.

Assisting Wounded American Military Personnel

Hospices of Sonoma will support a yet-to-be-determined charity that assists in the rehabilitation of seriously wounded troops returning from war zones and provides support to their families.
